Design of a wearable protection system to prevent fall injuries using Arcadia/Capella tool
Résumé
This work presents a new wearable protection system incorporating two sensors (3D acceleromer and pressure sensor), with computational capability to inflate small airbags upon detecting a fall, in order to safeguard the elderly from injuries. The proposed concept uses PyroMEMS as pyrotechnical initiators ensuring fast and efficient airbag triggering. To achieve the full design process of this complex system, we adopted a systemic methodology based on Arcadia method using Capella tool.
