Le laboratoire d'Ecologie Marine (ECOMAR) est un laboratoire de l'université de La Réunion affilié au CNRS (FRE 3560), et spécialisé dans l'étude des écosystèmes marins et insulaires tropicaux. L'essentiel des travaux porte sur l'océan Indien occidental tropical avec quelques prolongements dans le Pacifique et dans les Caraïbes.
L'équipe est composée de 22 membres dont 9 enseignants chercheurs, 3 BIATOS (Ingénieur de recherche, technicien, gestionnaire) 8 doctorants et 1 postdoc. Le laboratoire accueille également chaque année une dizaine de stagiaires de Master.
The Marine Ecology Laboratory (ECOMAR) is a research group of the University of Reunion Island affiliated with CNRS (FRE 3560), and specialized in the study of tropical marine and insular ecosystems. Most of our research work is done in the tropical western Indian Ocean with some extension to the Pacific and to the Caribbean.
The group is composed of 22 members including 9 researchers, 1 research engineer, 1 technician, 1 finance manager, 8 Ph-D candidates and 1 postdoc. The laboratory also hosts around 10 Master students for their research project every year.
